For years I have envied the girls brave enough to dye their locks the lovely shades of pink and purple. For a long time my hair was darker ombre, so I wasnt able to achieve any of the pastel colours that I loved so much.
What alot of people don't realise is that colours like pink and purple (especially pastel tones) can only be achieved by first having really light blonde hair. If the hair is not prelightened enough, those fun colours wont turn out. They end up looking wishy-washy; which is not quite a word but is the most accurate I can come up with.
Bright colours & pastel tones are becoming very popular, thanks to style icon Nicole Richie who nailed it with her lovely lavander locks. Unfortunately we cant all look like Nicole but there are many insta babes out there with colourful hair who have always kept my dream alive of one day having pink hair. Listen to me.. some have dreams of curing cancer and Im sitting here carrying on about pink hair! 😂 Dont get me wrong, I'm all for curing cancer, however pink hair is a little more within my reach.

Five months ago I started going blonde for a change, getting lighter and lighter and time went by. Last week was halloween and with my hair at its lightest I thought it was a good excuse to finally be a little creative as a hair dresser and go pink.
I used Fudge - Candy Moon, a semi permanent colour with conditioner. Eventually this will wash out but for now, I have fairy floss hair and I dont hate it.

A little inspo for those of you who are thinking of making the change..do it, i dare ya!
Thanks for stopping by,
